Coeur D'Alene Waterfront Community

The aim of this project was to create a socially and architecturally inclusive neighborhood, benefitting the city of Coeur D'Alene on an urban scale. A central premise of Live + Work + Play encouraged architectural design that was beneficial to the environment and the citizens of Coeur D'Alene and sought to serve as a catalyst for future urban development in the city. The Waterfront Community improves waterfront connection by creating a public boardwalk extending from the Western single family housing units, through the central civic center, and terminates at the eastern private condos & boat parking area. Mixed use structures within the core create employment opportunities for residents, with pedestrian-oriented roads, raising the value of the neighborhood user.
